every detail matters

my art is a reflection of my heart. my mom always says that what I produce in various seasons of life is an expression of what I'm experiencing in that season. i believe that gives the work meaning and connection. it's important to me to incorporate hidden details relating to my story and/or that of my collectors for that reason. art and nature have always seemed to bring me closer to the Lord and I pray He might be glorified through this gift.

    I'm so happy you stopped by to view my work! My name is Katie Lowder. I grew up in St. Francisville, Louisiana and now reside in Shreveport, LA. I'm married to James and we have three fun boys! I've been painting for more than 17 years now. It's remarkable to witness how my style has evolved over the years as a testament to growth in many areas of my life. Being a mom of 3, I have very tiny pockets of time to paint these days, which is why I am only able to do about 2 collection releases a year, but it certainly allows me to be more intentional about what I'm producing. I only start a series when I'm divinely inspired-which keeps it FUN and meaningful. I'm just purely thankful that I get to do what I love.
